The day will consist of talks, group workshops, Q&A sessions and an opportunity to discuss your CVs and portfolios with industry professionals.
Katherine Beacon is Head of Development for JellyLegs Productions Ltd., working closely with Craig Cash to develop new comedy and drama for Television. After Hours, a programme that JellyLegs developed with new writers Molly Naylor and John Osborne and featuring Ardal O’Hanlon and Jaime Winstone will be broadcast on Sky 1 this summer. Katherine was also Project Manager for BBC Writersroom North, responsible for writer development across Drama, Comedy and Children’s programmes for Radio and Television.
Louis Hudson and Ian Ravenscroft from Dice Productions have made award-winning comedy animations and films for Channel 4, BBC Comedy, Nickelodeon and the UK Film Council. The content of their workshop will focus on the origin and development of Dice’s latest short for Nickelodeon, DuckManBoy.
