The Department of Film and Theatre at the University of Worcester is delighted to invite you to an evening In Conversation With… Screenwriter and Director Steven Knight. Most recently acclaimedfor his visceral BBC series Peaky Blinders, as well as the groundbreaking film Locke, starring Tom Hardy, the Midlands-born Writer and Director will discuss his prolific career which encompasses the Oscar-nominated screenplay Dirty Pretty Things, Eastern Promises, Amazing Grace and The Hundred-Foot Journey amongst others.
The event will also include the launch of the University of Worcester Steven Knight Award for Best Screenplay. The inaugural award is to be presented in November to the Screenwriting graduate who writes the most original screenplay as part of their degree, with the generous prize being script feedback from Steven himself. Steven’s long list of critically acclaimed work will be a great inspiration to the screenwriters of the future who are developing their skills as part of the Screenwriting programme.
