Session 1: This covers: the submissions process from the programmer’s viewpoint; tips and tricks to help submissions stand out for the right reasons; how to help guide a film smoothly through the various selection processes practised by different festivals; the best ways to respond productively to both acceptance and rejection; what to expect from the festival experience and how to get the most benefit from it; and how one selection can be turned into a sustained period of exposure on the circuit.

Session 2 Further insight into the selection process. How to make films that will get selected. A selection of short films and exercises designed to illustrate the minutiae of selection criteria.
